WFAA reports that a 10 inch water main has broken on Exchange street in the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards.

It is reported that the water main ruptured around 10:30 this morning. Crews are working to fix the water main. However, the historic bricks of Exchange must be removed one at A time and then replaced once the work is completed.

Several stores and restaurants in the area of the break will remain closed until repairs are completed due to not having any running water.

Shops closer to the train station and in stockyard station will remain open.

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

You may be under the impression that the donations that are made to us are only used for DFW ALERTS. That is not true.

When DFW ALERTS is on scene at a structure fire or any major event where our brave men and women of the local Fire & Police departments are exposed to extream heat (Texas summers), we usually carry bottles of water for them and any victims who many need it. We naturally do not charge them for this. They are doing a hard job, heat stroke is a very real issue when you are fighting a fire or having to stand in the sun in a dark blue uniform.

Your donations help us inform you of Weather & Traffic conditions to help keep you and your family safe. They also allow us to provide you with video and photos of these and other events. But, most of all, your donations help us to provide a cool drink of water to the men and women who protect & serve us day in and day out.

Please consider making a donation, in any amount via PayPal to: dfwalerts@live.com
