The accident occurred at aprox. 1:00AM on December 8th, 2012.

When the driver of the pictured vehicle was questioned by us, he was unable to tell us what had happened. However, it appeared this vehicle was traveling West bound on N.E. 28th street when it was rear ended and spun 180°.

There also appeared to be at least one secondary impact to the front of the vehicle.

A dark colored Ford pick-up was also crashed into the cement of the bridge and a Blue Dodge pick-up, with what appeared to be rear end damage, was also on the scene. However, these two vehicles left the scene before police arrived. DFW ALERTS reporter JJ (Twitter: @DFW_AlertsJJ) was able to provide Fort Worth PD with the license plates from the Dodge pick-up.

The Fort Worth Stockyards was hit by high winds ranging from 60-75 MPH. The above photographs show only some of the damage as winds ripped sheet metal and rooftops off of buildings.

The power was off in an area from the Fort Worth Stockyards to Lake Worth. This included traffic signals.

As we drove through the area, we witnessed many people ignoring the fact that they still needed to come to a full stop. This lead to several close calls.

DO YOU BELIEVE IN GHOSTS?

Tonight I went inside a building located in the Fort Worth Stockyards that is rumoured to have some restless spirits wandering its halls and shops.

I started off taking some photographs then, I took a little video. The video did not turn up anything of interest. The photos however, were a different story.

I’ve posted the photos below, judge for yourself:

Appears to be a person sitting with their back against the display.

It should be pointed out that there was only me and one other camera man (who was beside me) in this building when these photographs were taken.

Note: You may have to save these photos and enlarge them to see the details I see.

WFAA reports that a 10 inch water main has broken on Exchange street in the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards.

It is reported that the water main ruptured around 10:30 this morning. Crews are working to fix the water main. However, the historic bricks of Exchange must be removed one at A time and then replaced once the work is completed.

Several stores and restaurants in the area of the break will remain closed until repairs are completed due to not having any running water.

Shops closer to the train station and in stockyard station will remain open.

Cattlemen’s Steakhouse was unable to reopen after the accident and it’s unclear if they will be open on Sunday.
There were no reports of injury to the best of my knowledge.
